System General's Comments toward Power Integrations' Patent Violation Charges
Taipei, Taiwan, May 12, 2005 - In response to a complaint at the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) filed May 9th by Power Integrations, SG makes the following comments:
1. Accusing contents of this complaint is substantially the same as the complaint filed on 28th June 2004 in Northern District of California, United States District Court.
2. System General strongly refutes the accusation of patent infringement. All of its products are developed using its own patented technologies and independent with Power Integrations' accusing patents. Throughout the years, System General has received more than 50 patents worldwide including 34 US patents.
3. According to well understanding, System General's shipments to worldwide customers remain normal during litigation in ITC.
4. Within 30 days from May 9th, the ITC Commission will vote on institution to decide if the cognizance of the compliant is taken. Currently the status remains pending.
