Taipei,
Taiwan, Jun 1, 2006 – System General Corporation
(SG), a leading provider of device programmers, today
announced the latest TSOP48-UNI-OT and T7-TSOP48-UNI-OT
socket boards which fully support TSOP48 lead-free
packaging specifications. SG’s latest socket
boards are ideally suited for use with the entire
series of manual programmers, such as the T9600, the
T7000 and the T8000, as well as automated programming
systems, including the AP700, the AP600, and the AP520.
To fully comply
with the European Union’s RoHS (Restriction
of the use of certain Hazardous Substances) directives,
which will be implemented in July of this year, all
lead-free packaging products have been introduced
to replace existing lead processed ones. In keeping
with SG policy on environmental protection, System
General's new socket boards not only support both
new and old packaged ICs, but also provide highly
stable programming capabilities. In addition, all
new socket boards are affixed with a green label clearly
stating “Support Pbfree Devices” for the
benefit of customers who wish to distinguish between
new and previous socket boards.
"System
General has long devoted itself to providing our customers
with complete programming solutions, and timely and
beneficial services to help them maximize operational
and manufacturing benefits," said Alex Yang,
Director of the Instrument Business Division. "Currently,
we are continuing to provide leading and environmentally
friendly products to meet industry requirements in
following with global environmental protection directives."
For customers
who have old TSOP48-UNI-OT socket boards, and have
any related problems about the yield rate, please

and solutions.
