Taipei, Taiwan,
April 29, 2005 – System General, the leading
provider of power management ICs, today announced
that it has started to provide lead-free packaging
for many of its products, including its ATX Supervisor
& Combo ICs, PWM control ICs, and Power Factor
Correction ICs product lines. These lead-free productions
comply with the RoHS (Restriction of the use of certain
Hazardous Substances) directives from the European
Union.
To keep up with
the global trend of placing more importance on environment
protection, System General’s support of lead-free
packaging is ahead of the European Union directive
date of July 2006. This achievement will help customers
to start the conversion of lead-free production procedures.
And System General is committed to offering lead-free
solutions for all future product lines.
“System
General has been concerned about green issues for
a long time. All power IC productions meet environmental
requirements in the early design stage.” said
Danny An, System General’s senior manager of
the IC Quality Assurance Department. “System
General is committed to producing more diversified,
energy-saving, and efficient “green” products.
And System General is willing to take on that social
responsibility, so as to provide a better life for
us all.”
